The Ford vs. Chevy Drags are produced in partnership with Gulfport Dragway pitting 100 Fords and 100 Chevys in Bracket-style Elimination racing. The 21th annual Ford vs. Chevy Drags are set for Oct. 25th, 2009, at Gulfport Dragway. Spectators are invited to all FPA Drags. Spectator tickets, which include Pit access, are always available at the gate. Racer tickets are available from the FPA approximately two months before the race.

Saturday Night Test n' Tune and Gambler's Race
Gates open at 10am for the Test n' Tune, Gambler's Race if schedule permits, Jr. Dragsters are included in both the Test n' Tune and Gambler' race on Saturday.
Test n' Tune fees are $20, additional fees for entries to the gambler's race. Spectators fees are $5 dollars (Saturday Only), or spectators can purchase a Weekend pass for $20 to receive entry to the Sunday event.
All track activity will stop at approximately 8pm, Gates will close for 10pm Saturday night!

Gates open at 8am, Time Trails will start at 9am with 1st round Eliminations starting at 2pm.
The will be three classes of bracket racing at this event:

The Fast Car class! All cars that run Electronic starting line aids will run this class!
Entry for class is $60, Winner will receive $2,000 in prize Money, Runner-up will receive $700 and Semi-finals will receive $225. Quarter Finalist will receive there entry fee as prize money.

Pro Footbrake Bracket
That's right, for those of you talented enough to cut a .500 light with out the help of electronics, this is the class for you!
Entry fee for this class is $50, Winner will receive $800, Runner-up gets $280 and the Semi-finalist get $100. Quarter-finalist receive there entry fee back.

TPS Motorsports Pro Street Bracket
If your race car has DOT approved tires and mufflers this is the class for you, besides they are required in this class anyway!
Entry fee is $40, Winner will take home $550, Runner-up will receive $180 and the semi-finalist will take home $65. The Quarter-Finalist will receive there entry fee back.

Special Awards
There will be four special awards handed out during Ford vs. Chevy:
Winning Combination Motorsports will award $100 to the Lowest E.T. Ford and Chevy Dragster during Time Trials.
Performance Ignition will award $100 to the Lowest E.T. Ford and Chevy Door Slammer during Time Trials. Check out www.performanceignition.com
Simoneaux Race Cars will award $500 to the driver who is dead on the light and dial-in during eliminations. Money will be awarded to only one driver who can do this on a single pass, therefore if you pull off a perfect light right on you dial-in, you deserve the prize. Outlaw Performance will award a trophy to the Best Appearing Ford Race car while Automotive Maintenance & Performance L.L.C. will award a trophy to Best Appearing Chevy Race car.
